The programme of the 11th International Academic Conference Actual Problems of Theory and History of Art covered 14–19 October 2024. The academic sessions listed in its final version took place from 14 to 18 October at the State Hermitage Museum, Saint Petersburg State University, and the National Library of Russia.

Wednesday, 16 October
Art of the ancient world; a tour of the Twelve Collegia building; 19th-century Russian art; Renaissance art; 20th-century and contemporary art; Byzantine and Balkan art; art of the Christian East; interdisciplinary methods in cultural heritage research.
Thursday, 17 October
Medieval Russian art; art theory; conservation and museum studies; the special section “An Artist in a Printing House”.
Friday, 18 October
Western European art of the early modern and modern periods; the special section “Types of Visual Texts: The History of Development and Modern Culture”.
Venues and format
Sessions were held in the Hermitage Theatre and Council Hall at the State Hermitage Museum, at the Institute of History and other Saint Petersburg University venues, and at the National Library of Russia. The programme provided remote access to selected sessions.
Presentation times
Plenary papers were allocated 25 minutes and session papers 15 minutes. The programme was revised during the final preparations; this overview follows its final version, published on 7 October 2024. The complete document contains a detailed bilingual schedule of individual papers.
